I have noticed, however, that I can solve the problem for new adds by going into File -> Scan Folders for New Files. This time, one of the tracks displayed, while the other two did not (there were three tracks altogether). With this last example, I deleted them from MusicBee, Deleted the files from my computer, downloaded them again, updated the tags, added them back into MusicBee, and then once again did a search. However, when I display my whole music library, and search again, nothing shows up. The tracks show up just fine within the playlist, and when I do a search, they show up. Once I have my tags set (which I do in Windows Explorer), I drag them to a new folder/playlist I've created within Music Bee. There are other tags, but those I usually leave alone, since the four I mentioned are generally the most important to me, and the others seem to be all right as they are downloaded. As soon as I had downloaded it to my computer, I updated the tags-Title, Composer, Conductor, and artist. As for a specific example, I recently added a Piano Concerto by Mozart played by Leon Fleisher. One folder for each composer, and then playlists for each work by these composers.) So I never ran across the Monitored Folder option.Ĥ. (I have my playlists arranged in folders. There are only four options: New Playlist, New Auto-Playlist, New Playlist Mixer, and New Folder. When I right-click somewhere in my Playlist Explorer (left panel), I see options to add folders and playlists. At the moment, though, a search seems to work even though no specific search fields are selected, which indicates to me that a default search will look through all fields.ģ. I've only ever searched the entire library (by selecting the "Music" header), or within a playlist (by selecting the "Playlists" header in the panel along the left-hand side of my screen.Ģ. I did notice that when I search within a playlist (which rarely contains more then 4 or 5 tracks), the search does find the tracks within the playlist. (This is the panel that shows Tracks, then headings such as Composer, Title, Artist, Time, Last Played, and Album name). When I add new tracks, I usually create a playlist, and then drag the tracks I want to add to MusicBee into the main panel. However, I notice that all tracks added before will still show up on a search. I'll play around with this a little bit and see if changing it to entire library makes a difference when I search for newly added tracks. ![]() I have it set to local node-though I don't understand how to determine what node I'm in.
